Falstaff

UK Opera Theatre presents Verdi's fast paced, romantic comedy set in Windsor in 1602 for four performances beginning February 24. The portly Falstaff (played by award-winning singers Reginald Smith, Jr. and Jonathan Green) sees himself as the "Don Juan" of Windsor and he is running low on drinking money; he seeks to win, from two wealthy married ladies, affection and funding by sending them identical love letters. Throw in a jealous husband, a mischievous gossip, a subplot involving forbidden young lovers and the result is comedic chaos and a delightful performance, including some of the most glorious melodies ever written.

Dates: February 24-26, 2012
Time: 7:30pm (on Feb 24 & 25); 2:00pm (on Feb 25 & 26)
