We're glad you're here! University of Kentucky Opera Theatre is a dynamic, multi-faceted program that attracts some of the nation's top singing talent. One reason is world-class faculty dedicated to teaching and training students to succeed at the highest levels. Opportunities to participate in master classes and in professional-quality main stage productions with guest directors are two more reasons students wishing to develop the skills and experience needed to perform on the national and international stage choose UK Opera Theatre.
In February 2009, UK Opera Theatre students were among the featured performers in "Our Lincoln" at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. (See Our Lincoln: Behind the Scenes)
More recently, singers from UK Opera Theatre wowed the crowd at the Alltech FEI European Jumping and Dressage Championship Gala Celebration at Windsor Castle during their nine-day performance tour of England and Ireland with boxing legend Muhammad Ali. The tour was sponsored by the Alltech-Muhammad Ali Center Global Education and Charitable Fund and the Muhammad Ali Center. (See Photo Gallery)
